Muzeum Czynu Zbrojnego w Krakowie

      Muzeum Czynu Zbrojnego w Krakowie, ulokowane w Nowej Hucie na osiedlu Górali 23, jest prowadzone przez Małopolską Fundację Dom Kombatanta Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej-Muzeum Czynu Zbrojnego.

 

     W 1963 roku odbyła się inauguracja muzeum, zorganizowana przez Antoniego Dałkowskiego, prezesa ZBoWiD Huty im. Lenina. Pierwsza wystawa, zatytułowana „Pracownicy HiL w walkach o Polskę Ludową”, miała miejsce w Zakładowym Domu Kultury HiL. Kolekcje muzealne były efektem prywatnych darów pracowników Huty im. Lenina oraz weteranów z Legionów Polskich, powstań śląskich, wielkopolskiego, wojny bolszewickiej i II wojny światowej.

 

     W 1979 roku muzeum przeszło gruntowny remont, w trakcie którego zmodernizowano budynek, wzmocniono fundamenty i dobudowano dwie kondygnacje. W jednej z nowo powstałych sal umieszczono imponującą mozaikę autorstwa Heleny Trzebiatowskiej.

 

      Przed wejściem do muzeum stoi czołg IS-2, który w 1945 roku walczył pod Toporowem, Budziszynem oraz w Czechosłowacji. Jest on symbolem Nowej Huty i został ustawiony przed muzeum w 1969 roku.

 

     W 2022 roku Muzeum Czynu Zbrojnego zostało włączone do struktur Muzeum Armii Krajowej w Krakowie.
