Mały Skansen Ostrów Lednicki

Na Ostrowie Lednickim, położonym na jeziorze Lednica, w 1969 roku utworzono rezerwat archeologiczny, który z biegiem lat przekształcił się w Muzeum Początków Państwa Polskiego, a później w Muzeum Pierwszych Piastów na Lednicy. Miejsce to jest wyjątkowe, ponieważ zawiera najstarsze i najlepiej zachowane relikty architektury wczesnego średniowiecza w Polsce, a jego znaczenie potwierdza status Pomnika Historii Państwa Polskiego.

W obrębie dawnego podgrodzia zrekonstruowano fragmenty drewnianych budynków mieszkalnych z okresu X-XII wieku, które można zobaczyć, przepływając na wyspę promem. Na stałym lądzie znajduje się Mały Skansen, w którym w jednym z obiektów eksponowana jest stała wystawa „Skarby Lednicy”. Główne zbiory archeologiczne są przechowywane w nowym budynku muzeum w Dziekanowicach, a lednicka kolekcja wczesnośredniowiecznego uzbrojenia jest jedną z najbogatszych w Europie Północnej.
